Wearing a black Abaya or a black headcover is not specified in religion and the decision is purely internal, Mohammad Bin Salman Al Saud, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia said.
In a recent interview with a TV channel, the Crown Prince said: “The Islamic laws are very clear and it is stipulated in shares. The women have to wear decent respectable clothing like men but the religion does not particularly specify a black Abaya or black headcover, the decision is left internally.”
He added: “Extremists are discriminating between the two sexes and we do not differentiate between man and woman as well as their working together in workplaces.”
“Many of those ideas can take away from the way of life during the time of the Prophet and the Caliphs, which is a real example and the true line.”
